My original vision for this site was to build it for my friends and family to show them exactly how I make money online. I wanted to share with them all the resources that I used and found helpful. Since then this site has grown from just for friends and family to people I have never met (you?). But I still want to share the exact resources that led me on this journey. Below you will find the books, products, and programs that were most helpful to me in making money online. These are not just “good” books, they are “MUST HAVES”! If you have any questions, please join the newsletter and hit the reply button on the first email you get.
I’m breaking this page up into two parts:
Programs & Books
Programs
Tony Robbins The Ultimate Edge is a 3 part audio system for creating an extraordinary life today.
Biggest Takeaway – There was no one thing that stood out to me in this program (because it was ALL great) but this is the program that changed my life!
Dark Post Profits 2.0

Books
Rich Dad Poor Dad is a book that tells the story of Robert Kiyosaki and his two dads—his real father and the father of his best friend, his rich dad—and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing. The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you.
Biggest Takeaway – The 7 types of income generating assets (this changed the way I look at making money!)
The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino is a book about the philosophy of salesmanship, and success, telling the story of Hafid, a poor camel boy who achieves a life of abundance through reading Secret Scrolls.
Biggest Takeaway – That repetition is key to success in any area of life.
Malcolm Gladwell has MANY great books but my 3 favorites are The Tipping Point, Outliers, and Blink.
Biggest Takeaway – You will be sure to have a different perspective on things after reading any of these 3 books!
The Icarus Deception by Seth Godin is a book where the readers are challenged to find the courage to treat their work as a form of art. The myth that Icarus’s father made him wings and told him not to fly too close to the sun may be the reason you’re not flying at your full potential.
Biggest Takeaway – If you treat your projects like art you will find more passion and happiness in your growth.
The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss. Forget the old concept of retirement and the rest of the deferred-life plan–there is no need to wait and every reason not to, especially in unpredictable economic times. Whether your dream is escaping the rat race, experiencing high-end world travel, earning a monthly five-figure income with zero management, or just living more and working less, The 4-Hour Workweek is the blueprint.
Biggest Takeaway – Although you always want to make more money, you should also be focusing on working less to do it.
Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff is a path breaking method for raising money and pitching deals.
Biggest Takeaway – You must get better at “framing” to be a better pitch man/salesman.
Shark Tales by Barbara Corcoran. After failing at twenty-two jobs, Barbara Corcoran borrowed $1,000 from a boyfriend, quit her job as a diner waitress, and started a tiny real estate office in New York City. Using the unconventional lessons she learned from her homemaker mom, she gradually built it into a $6 billion dollar business.
Biggest Takeaway – Having the right people working with you in crucial to your success.
Become an Idea Machine: Because Ideas are the New Currency by Claudia Azula Altucher. Come up with 10 ideas a day. Every day. It does not matter if they are good or bad, the point is to exercise your idea muscle, to make it sweat.
Biggest Takeaway – By coming up with great ideas everyday you will become a quicker thinker and solve problems faster and easier.
